Our story हाम्रो कथा
Sathi started with a small group of Nepali alumni who arrived in the US as students a decade ago and spent their first years lost in deadlines, hospital bills, immigration letters, and forms that wouldn't explain themselves. We figured it out the slow, painful way, mostly by helping each other. Years later, after enough relatives and friends asked us the same questions for the hundredth time, we came back home to Nepal and turned the help we had been giving for free into a real service. The next student, worker, or family shouldn't have to learn it the hard way alone. Sathi एक दशक अघि विद्यार्थीको रूपमा अमेरिका पुगेका नेपाली पूर्व-विद्यार्थीहरूको सानो समूहबाट सुरु भयो। हाम्रा पहिलो वर्षहरू समयसीमा, अस्पताल बिल, आप्रवासन पत्र, र स्वयं व्याख्या नगर्ने फारमहरूमा बित्यो। हामीले एकले अर्कोलाई सहयोग गर्दै बिस्तारै, कष्टसाथ सिक्यौं। वर्षौंपछि, जब आफन्त र साथीहरूले उहीँ प्रश्नहरू सयौं पटक सोधे, हामी नेपाल फर्क्यौं र विना शुल्क दिँदै आएको सहयोगलाई वास्तविक सेवामा रूपान्तरण गर्यौं। अर्को विद्यार्थी, कामदार, वा परिवारले एक्लै कठिनाइसाथ सिक्नु नपरोस्।
What we believe हाम्रो विश्वास
Every member of our team lived in the US for years. We know the late-night confusion. We don't read scripts; we remember. हाम्रो टोलीको हरेक सदस्यले वर्षौं अमेरिकामा बिताए। राति बेलाको अल्मल हामी जान्छौं। हामी स्क्रिप्ट पढ्दैनौं; सम्झन्छौं।
We charge for our time. Sessions are flat-fee, prices are on the site. We never accept anything from the professional we introduce. No kickback, no commission, no gift. हामी हाम्रो समयका लागि शुल्क लिन्छौं। सत्र एकमुस्ट शुल्कमा छन्, मूल्य साइटमा छन्। हामीले परिचय गराउने पेशेवरबाट केही पनि लिँदैनौं। कुनै किकब्याक छैन, कमिशन छैन, उपहार छैन।
Every message reaches a person in Kathmandu. No bots, no overseas call center, no fake urgency, no confusing legal jargon. हरेक सन्देश काठमाडौंमा रहेको व्यक्तिसम्म पुग्छ। कुनै bot छैन, विदेशी call center छैन, बनावटी हतार छैन, अल्मलिने कानुनी शब्द छैन।
Our offer is simple and small. If your situation can be handled with free legal aid or a pro bono attorney, we say so and point you there, even though it earns us nothing. हाम्रो प्रस्ताव सरल र सानो छ। तपाईंको अवस्था निःशुल्क कानुनी सहायता वा pro bono वकिलले सम्हाल्न सकिने भए हामी त्यही भन्छौं र देखाइदिन्छौं, हामीले केही नकमाए पनि।
What we are not हामी के होइनौं
Sathi is a personal helper service, like a settlement helper or a family concierge for your hardest paperwork days. Anything that legally requires a license (legal advice, medical advice, accounting, immigration filings) stays with the licensed professional you choose to engage. We help you find them. We sit with you while you talk to them. We translate if you need it. We do not replace them. Sathi व्यक्तिगत साथी सेवा हो, कागजातका सबभन्दा कठिन दिनहरूका लागि settlement helper वा पारिवारिक concierge जस्तै। कानुनले लाइसेन्स चाहिने कुनै पनि कुरा (कानुनी सल्लाह, चिकित्सीय सल्लाह, लेखा, आप्रवासन filings) तपाईंले रोज्नुभएको लाइसेन्स प्राप्त पेशेवरकै हुन्छ। हामी तपाईंलाई उहाँहरू खोज्न मद्दत गर्छौं। तपाईंले उहाँहरूसँग कुरा गर्दा हामी साथमा बस्छौं। चाहिए अनुवाद गर्छौं। हामी उहाँहरूको ठाउँ लिँदैनौं।
